The Blues eased to victory thanks to an Eden Hazard brace and a Victor Moses strike.
After a week of rumours and speculation linking various names to the Chelsea hot seat, Conte was delighted to get the backing of his own fans.
All four stands at Stamford Bridge chanted “Antonio” at various points in the game to show the Italian that they are fully behind him.
And for the kind gesture, Conte has responded by issuing a thank you message to the loyal Blues and insisted that everyone behind the scenes was pulling in the same direction to change the club’s fortunes.
“For sure, I have to thank the fans because they showed me great support,” Conte said.
“I think that they are reading speculation and rumours on me.
“I am grateful to the fans to support me in this way.
“It means maybe they understand my will to defend this colour, this shirt and this badge.
“I want to thank them.
“Me and the players are trying to do our best to give them the best satisfaction.”
Chelsea ended a run of back-to-back defeats by beating West Brom.
And they return to action on Friday when they face Hull in the FA Cup.
